I M Legend | New Monster Dark

The symbol of a legend.

A bike designed to leave a mark and rewrite the rules. Monster Dark takes up everything that has made Monster a legend, with its iconic design, unmistakable presence and authentic sports character. And it does so with even Darker attitude, with targeted design choices that make for a cleaner, more purposeful look.

The purest expression of the Monster legend.

Monster Dark highlights the features that make Monster unmistakable. Compact shapes, all-black wheels, a one-piece seat, and unpainted details give life to an aesthetic that is raw and direct, the black only emphasising the mechanical character of the bike. A Dark interpretation of the Monster icon, where nothing is superfluous.

The lightest twin cylinder ever produced by Ducati.

890 cc of pure twin-cylinder excitemen: at just 54.4 kg, the new V2 engine ensures that the Monster weighs 4 kg less than the previous generation. And thanks to the Intake Variable Timing system, engine response is both exhilarating at high rpm and very enjoyable at low range.

An intuitive bike for immediate feeling in any situation.

Easy when needed, sporty when you choose. Monster Dark combines lightness, compact dimensions and ergonomics designed to offer control and a natural feel from the outset. The riding position, wide steering angle, and agile and precise chassis make Monster intuitive in its handling and responsive during more dynamic riding. Accessible in feeling, authentically Monster in character.

Monster electronics: greater control, greater enjoyment.

Developed to amplify the riding pleasure and offer the rider an immediate sense of control: the Monster electronics makes the bike more intuitive, safer and more engaging in every situation. Thanks to the Riding Modes and Power Modes, the response adapts to riding style and context: smooth and manageable in urban traffic, bolder and more responsive at higher speeds. A versatility that makes Monster Dark intuitive in everyday riding and ready to express its sports attitude when the pace picks up.

Sporty in essence, powerful and precise.

Monster Dark distils the character of the fifth-generation Monster into a minimalist, authentically sporty package. The 111 hp V2 twin with Intake Variable Timing, a light and agile chassis, and an advanced electronics package work together to offer performance, control and an immediate response. The minimalist design and all-black look round out a Monster that lets what matters speak for itself: technology, character and riding pleasure.

Free your Monster instinct.

For more than thirty years, Monster has made customisation part of its identity. And Monster Dark, too, can be configured with various Ducati performance accessories designed to highlight its style, functionality and character. A windscreen and passenger seat cover, available separately, round out the configuration, for an even more personalised interpretation.
